Alpinestars Old Ridge Boots

These boots are sold in US sizes (and half sizes), so choose the size you normally would wear in a US street shoe. The width of the boots is D or E (which is considered to be a “normal” width). The overall fit of the boot could be described as “roomy through the foot and instep”, so those with narrow feet won’t be able to fill up this boot without insoles or heavy socks. These boots are sold in US sizes, but below is the conversion to European sizing that is given on the box:

The Ridge boot offers a “different” style than most motorcycle boots we carry. They sort of remind me of boots offered by BMW over the years. They have sort of a square-ish cut to them so they are kind of boxy looking, but with modern styling features such as the sole that wraps up around the heel and ribbed leather over the toe and behind the ankle. After wearing them a bit while typing this, they are kind of growing on me. Those who have wide feet will like the overall cut (see comments above). The boots open from both sides of the boot (take the “View Larger Picture” link above to see what I mean), so those who might otherwise have trouble putting on and taking off a boot like this due to a high instep will welcome this type of construction. The “bullets” above from the manufacturer say they feature a coated leather upper, but they look like synthetic material to me. No matter though as most waterproof MC boots nowadays are made of synthetic leather.
