Sizing Information

The suits are offered in European sizes, so you’ll need to select the size using Alpinestars sizing chart using your chest and waist measurements. And for those who may have a bit of a belly, we encourage you to measure your belly also. Choose a suit size that will accommodate your chest, waist, and belly.

Our Two Cents

Need a good quality suit with plenty of protection at a good price? The Stage is a great choice. The overall quality of Alpinestars suits is very good across the entire product line and the Stage is considered the “entry level” suit of the Alpinestars line, so you get the overall good quality at a value price. Aside from the features you’d expect, such as CE armor, perforated leather construction, knee pucks and the like, this suit also has some features found only in much more expensive suits. One thing I like is the removable nylon liner. You can take out the entire lining and wash it to keep the suit fresh. The armor system works well with the removable liner feature also. The armor is attached to the suit’s leather shell (with Velcro in the shoulders and elbows and placed in pockets in the knee/shin areas). This means you don’t have to remove armor pieces from the liner to take it out and wash it. Also, attaching the armor to the shell (rather than the liner) is more secure so the armor is less likely to shift out of position in case of impact. Another thing this suit offers above others is very substantial armor in the hip/thigh area. The armor covers a great deal of the hips and extends down over the rear/upper thigh area. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see a good set of pictures that show off this suit’s many features.
