FirstGear Core-Comp Armor

This armor can be used as a replacement to standard Temper Foam or EVA foam padding in FirstGear, Hein Gericke and Gericke products (and other apparel with pockets for armor provided the pocket size fits the armor). It consists of styrofoam-like material very similar to what is found in helmets. This material is excellent in absorbing impact energy, but it is a “one time” use product (once it has been crushed, it will no longer absorb impact).

Something else to try… One customer writes: “I found that the FG pockets are large enough to comfortably accept the Core Comp IN ADDITION to the Temper Foam. I just slipped them in the pocket outward of the foam pieces. So now I have the “hard stuff” facing the outside and the “soft stuff” on the inside against my knees, elbows & shoulders. Try it, it’s not too bulky, but makes the mesh gear feel REAL substantial armor-wise.”
