Icon Field Armor Elbow
|
Sizing Information:
One size fits all, well, not exactly all…. (see comments below).
This elbow armor feels very secure on the arm. There is a built in stretchy “sock” all the way around your arm and then three Velcro straps on top of all that. The combination of the sock and the straps hold the armor in position really well. The upper end of the armor comes about a third the way up the bicep and on the bottom end, nearly all the way to the wrist. Comfortable? No, not really. Personally, I wouldn’t wear this armor unless I was doing something that carried a high probability of crashing. But if you did crash, this armor would certainly be of benefit to one’s elbows! The “sock” I mentioned is not all that big, so I’d recommend it only for people who have average to skinny arms. My biceps are 12 1/2” (relaxed) and if they were any bigger, I think these guards would cause circulation problems.
From the Icon Site: The Field Armor Elbow is Icon’s latest foray into the protective equipment arena. We’ve already got you covered with the vest, short, and leg guards. But your poor, exposed forearms and elbows were treated as the red-headed stepchild. Hence our development of the Field Armor Elbow. Form-fitting construction with a chassis of impact absorbing foam and molded plastic. Chassis design specifically prevents it from slipping down your arms. So be nice to your arms, they need love too.
