Alpinestars S-MX 5 Boots

Product Video:
The S-MX 5 boots are aggressive looking race style boots that would be perfect for the serious sport rider or amateur track rider. Protection in this boot includes a hard plastic shin piece, hard armor pieces in the ankle area and reinforced toe and heel boxes. The boot also comes with replaceable toe sliders for the more aggressive rider. Many boots that offer the same type of protection are difficult to walk around in, but these boots have large stretch zones in the front and rear ankle area that allow for comfortable mobility. The top of the toe has some shifter pads on the boots to prevent wearing through the top from shifting. This boot is offered in a “standard”, vented, and a waterproof version. All three versions (normal, vented and waterproof) look generally the same. The vented boot makes use of all five visible vents (heel, ankle, shin, side of calf) and also has a couple panels of perforated material on the foot. With the “normal” version, the vents on the heel and ankle are “dummies”, and of course the waterproof boot has all “dummy” vents, but includes a waterproof/breathable liner to keep water out while still allowing for moisture to escape. So this style offers a variety of construction styles for different weather conditions so you can select the right boot to suit your needs. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good closeups of these boots and their features.
