This boot is ideal for those that want an extremely light weight and comfortable boot. The lining is a padded tricot-like material that is comfortable and “airy”, and with the mesh side panels and low top design, these boots would be great for warm to hot weather comfort. Of course a shorter boot like this does not provide the protection around the ankle and shin like taller, more traditional sport or touring styles, but it does include a little extra padding on each side of the ankle bone, a rigid heel and toe cup and a secure closure system. This is a low-profile design and should be very compatible with sport bike shifting. I was impressed with the ease of putting the boots on and taking them off and with their overall comfort right out of the box—ideal for those who might want to wear them for commuting (where you have to change in and out of them frequently), or for those wanting footwear with some extra protection without taking a lot of extra time to “suit up”.
