The hiking-boot height design with side zipper makes them easy-on and easy-off. Conveniences like this will make you want to wear a protective boot rather than a street shoe, which makes it a good thing. The tops of the boot are cut lower in the back so they won’t dig in as you flex your ankle for shifting and for walking, and the top-most lip of the ankle opening has a soft neoprene rolled edge which also adds to comfort. The shell of the boot is a combination of molded plastic/rubber (around the toe box and heel for protection), Lorica and mesh material. The wind will blow right through this boot, so it will be a good choice for summer. The sole is substantial with a wide footprint, which will provide support for everyday use and walking.
