Alpinestars Effex Gore-Tex Boots
Sizing Information:
The overall fit/size of this new style seems “true” to their published size chart (see below), so if you are comfortable with a certain size from previous boots, then choose the same size. I’d consider the width of the men’s sizes to be normal. This boot also allows for a larger than normal calf, I’d say 16-17 inch max.

The Effex Gore-Tex boot was made with touring and commuting in mind. I would recommend this boot for the non “fair weather rider.” The boot is made of a water resistant leather with a Gore-Tex waterproof lining. This construction along with the integral protectors makes for a heavy duty boot. Large Velcro flaps overlap the closure zipper to help keep the boots securely on your feet in case of an accident. Your toes and heels are protected by a molded hard plastic layer underneath the leather. The back of the boot has a discreet reflective insert for added visibility at night. To help you walk around the boot was made with a large soft flex zone at the front of the ankle and a smaller one at the back. You can take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see close-ups of this boot’s features.
