Icon Accelerant Waterproof Boots

These boots are sold in US half sizes (full sizes past 12). Fit seems comparable with regular street shoes or boots, so order the size you normally choose. I found the boots to fit me well (size 12), but for those that are trying to choose between two sizes, I’d recommend choosing larger. If anything, I found them to run a bit more snug that normal (but not enough that I’d recommend everybody buy one size larger than their normal).

The Accelerant Waterproof boots have the feel of a light weight, yet well built boot. Something like what you’d expect of a paratrooper boot. I was struck by how light the boots feel compared to the way they look. With the thicker wide sole, you’d think they’d be heavy, but not so. Also I liked how stable the boots feel on my feet. The soles taper out slightly from the foot, so the sole is wide. This is a waterproof style so it’s going to work well for anyone that wants to stay dry; commuters will like that. And the boot looks good, so it will work on the street as well as on the bike. The combination of laces and ratchet closure strap allows you to get a nice customizable fit. The closure strap also helps to keep your laces out of the way so you don’t get them caught on anything. The heel and toe box areas are reinforced to provide some protection and to help the shoe retain its shape when shifting. These boots also come with a removable shoe insert that adds to their comfort and can be replaced with a new insert (or the insert of your choice) when needed to help keep your boots fresh.
