Held Speed Gloves
Sizing Information:
Held gloves are sold in glove sizes rather than the normal “alpha” sizes you are used to in the US. But fear not, we offer a comprehensive guide to choosing a Held glove size for you:
And here is some information about the long term care of Held gloves:
These gloves are also offered in short and long finger versions. Please see my comments below and the photo gallery to learn more about that.
Held gloves come in more sizes than any other gloves to give you a custom fit, and now the Speed gloves are offered in short and long finger versions! This is a heavy duty racing glove. The palms are made of kangaroo hide which offers the best feel for the controls as compared to any other material while also offering good abrasion protection and resistance to deterioration from hand moisture. The Speed has a number of protection features beyond the leather materials used. You get heavy duty molded protection over the knuckles and on the side of the wrist, Kevlar behind the leather on the back of the hand and in the thumb and a combination of highly abrasion resistant material and rivets in the heel area of the hand.
About finger length: Take it from me, gloves are really hard to measure! The difference from one size to the next is only a small fraction of an inch, but just to give you an idea on the length issue, I found the finger length between each size offered to be about 1/4” inch. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some shots of how I measured. What size do you order? Well, that is a question that can only be answered by trying on. If you find “normal” sized gloves to be consistently too short or too long, then try one of the short or long versions in this glove. If you read our terms for returns/exchange, you will find we are super easy to work with.

I absolutely loves the look of the phantoms but they were made for someone in a normal length hand. Great glove also. I will be replacing these some day when I need a new pair. (Read more...)
