Our Two Cents
The Joe Rocket GPX race boots are a closeout group we were able to purchase from our distributor at an amazing price. The boots are sold as a “race” boot, but have many features similar to street boots. Those who need an inexpensive race boot for an amateur event will find this one very attractive. And just about anybody wanting a protective street boot will appreciate the durable soft rubber sole (most race boots have a thin hard rubber sole which is not as comfortable for walking). This boot has the basic protection features which include toe sliders, shin guards and side ankle protection. These boots have a ratchet tightening system across the instep. This does allow a small degree of adjustment, but it’s mostly there for looks. Tip: push the gray plastic ratchet handle back toward the heel to release. Twist the handle to tighten, or just put the slider through the ratchet (without using the tightening feature). The main closure of the boot is Velcro. Take the “View Larger Pictures Link” above to see some good close-up pictures of this boot’s features.
