Note about Oxtar: This closeout sale is a result of a “re-branding” by the Italian based company that makes Oxtar boots. For ‘08, the almost identical line will be re-introduced as TCS. The re-branding was a result of a change of ownership of the parent company and the need to settle a trademark dispute with another company (has nothing to do with the product). We purchased the entire remaining Oxtar street boot inventory which we are selling at closeout prices until gone. Oxtar SS Performance 2 is the second generation of this style. These boots are a great choice for the aggressive street rider or amateur track rider. They offer the basic protection features you’ll want in a race boot such as toe sliders, shin guard, molded heel and toe boxes, and side ankle protection. An “entry level” race boot like this won’t have ALL the features found on top level racing boots, but the offer the basics for much less money and are more practical for everyday use for walking around off the bike. The SS Performance 2 boot looks sleek and sexy. Towards the toes the tips get a bit narrow so if you are in between sizes get the bigger of the two. This is my first boot purchase, they feel pretty comfortable, like wearing a tennis shoe. (Read more...)
