The Octane Is a sharp looking jacket that includes many of the features you would expect in a high quality sport jacket. The 1.2-1.4mm leather offers excellent abrasion protection, and both the shoulders and the elbows include removable CE approved armor. This jacket is going to be better for mild to warm weather. There are perforated panels toward the top of the chest and running along both sides of the sleeves that allow a good amount of air to flow through the jacket. For the cooler days it comes with an insulated vest liner, but in cold weather this may not be the best jacket due to the perforations along the sleeves. The adjustable waist and the flex zones on the arms help give this jacket a custom-fit feel. This jacket has some pretty neat molded padding in the elbow area which adds some style and a bit more crash protection. I also like the liberal use of reflective piping down both sleeves which would be visible from the front or back.
