like the overall looks of the Stage jacket. The black jacket has the contrasting white stitching that I think looks sharp. I also like the stretch leather behind each shoulder. This helps you reach forward to the handlebars with more ease of motion and comfort and the “accordion” type leather adds to the jacket’s overall looks. The jacket comes with CE turtle shell type armor in the shoulders and elbows and a foam back pad (CE upgrade back pad available below). The jacket has a full circumference connection zipper to attach to Alpinestars pants. The front torso of the jacket is fully perforated, so this jacket will be comfortable in warmer weather and it also comes with a removable thermal liner to help cut the airflow in cooler weather and to provide some insulation against the cold. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see a good set of close-up photos of this jacket and its features.
Note about the Factory Pictures: Alpinestars factory photos don’t show it clearly, but all the jackets have a perforated front panel on the front like you see in our close-up pictures of the black jacket.

This jacket is great! The perforations are great for riding in warm weather, and on those cooler days, the thermal vest is fairly effective. I do need an extra layer or two underneath in the winter, but for the regular riding season this jacket is just fine. (Read more...)
