Sizing Information

Below is sizing information as supplied by Joe Rocket. We feel the chart accurately reflects the suit’s fit. Sizing on these suits is roomy as compared to most other styles. Our experience has been that most suits will fit more snugly than a corresponding size jacket and many people would have to go up in size, but these new suits are fitting pretty true to the stated chest size. So, you can pick a suit size based upon your chest measurement or your coat size if you know it. And check to make sure that your waist size is not too large for the suit—otherwise you’ll have to go with a larger suit to accommodate the waist.

Suit Size Max Chest Size Max Waist/Belly Sleeve Inseam App. Height
40 38-40 34 31 26 5’2” – 5”9”
42 42-43 36 32 27 5’4” – 5’11”
44 44-45 38 33 29 5’6” – 6’0”

Our Two Cents

The Kawasaki Factory Racing Replica suit offers great construction, leather and armor for Kawasaki riders. The suits come complete with GP type armor in the shoulders, elbows and knees, and include foam protectors in the back and hips. The armor is very similar to the GP, plastic-over-foam armor that has been a standard with US suits for a long time, but this armor has a bit more thickness in the foam and is CE rated. The suit’s construction includes fabric panels in the underarm (down to the forearm), crotch/thigh and behind the knees. These fabric panels help improve the fit and give you freedom of motion on the bike. I like the thickness of the leather and the seam construction in these suits. The seams of the suit are sewn to protect at least one layer of stitching from the abrasion of the pavement. This seam design helps prevent blowouts in a fall. I also like how the suits fit. They are very comfortable right out of the box. The neck design is good too—just a simple roll of neoprene material that does not stand up and should not interfere with the helmet when head checking. Speaking of comfort, the front torso of the suit is perforated leather and there are also shoulder ram-air vents. The combination of those vents will provide a lot of comfort in warm weather. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above for a very good photo spread of this suit’s features. Joe Rocket offers an upgrade for the foam back protector that is supplied as standard with this suit.
