The Jordan Matrix jacket offers the style and protection of a leather sport jacket but with a bit more design to allow for comfort in warmer weather. There are large removable leather panels on the jacket in the inside-arm area and down the sides of the torso. When you remove those panels, there is a free-air mesh material exposed which should admit a lot of cooling air into the jacket. And during cooler months, you can zip the leather panels back in place and use the removable thermal liner. The jacket comes with removable CE approved armor in the shoulders and elbows and a removable back pad that can be upgraded to the optional CE approved back protector (see link below). There is liberal use of reflective piping on the back of the the jacket and the silver part of the “23” on the back is also reflective, so you should have excellent night time visibility. The leather used in the jacket is high quality and will provide a lot of abrasion protection, but it’s a bit lighter than a full-on sport jacket, so you will find this jacket to be comfortable for casual wear as well. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good close-ups of the jacket and its features.
