Sizing Information

Joe Rocket’s sizing chart is just about right on the sizing of these jeans. Here are the measurements we took:

Size Waist Inseam
Small 31 31 1/2
Med 33 32
Large 35 33
XL 38 34
XXL 40 34

The waist of these pants has belt loops, so if you are between sizes, it would probably be more comfortable to get the larger size and wear a belt. The height of the armor is adjustable, so you can compensate for different leg lengths. The adjustable armor position feature would also allow you to have the jeans hemmed to a shorter inseam length without major difficulty (take “View Larger Pictures” above for a detailed look at this feature).

Our Two Cents

This closeout group is a great bargain right now since this style has been discontinued. Please use the drop down menu above to see what sizes and colors remain. My comments from last season: The Atomic jean is a good alternative for those that don’t want to wear other types of protective pants. They have a nice look which is not too different from a pair of carpenter jeans. The pants have armor in the hips and knees, but it’s not obvious to the casual observer that the armor pieces are inside the pant. The material is a soft, lighter weight textile which is soft to the touch and does not make “swishy” noises when you walk. The pants are lined with nylon mesh material (much like all other motorcycle apparel). The knee armor is adjustable in height to compensate for different leg lengths (neat feature).

Note about the colors: The Olive color is really a medium brown color with a slight green tint. Take the View Larger Pictures link above for a closer look.
