Teknic **NO LONGER AVAILABLE** Sprint Textile Pants

These pants are ideal for long term touring since they have a very “relaxed” waist band. The waist is a bit oversized for the stated pant size, and also they have elastic stretch panels. The idea is that you can buy a pant in the size you normally wear and the fit will be super comfortable while sitting on the bike, and when you get off the bike the suspenders will hold your pants up. I’d recommend using them in this way. If you intend to not use the suspenders, you’ll probably have to buy one size smaller than normal.

The Sprint pant is a waterproof, textile pant with a comfortable cut great for longer rides. The removable liner and the waterproof shell make these pants a versatile choice for riding in various weather conditions. We can recommend these pants for cold to mild weather, but certainly not warm to hot weather, due to the lack of venting. The waist has some elastic in it and an adjustable Velcro closure for comfort. Adjustable and removable shoulder straps also allow for a more roomy fit (see sizing comments above). The legs have a gusset opening with rain flaps on the legs. There is an 8” zipper connector that you can use to zip your pants to a compatible Teknic jacket to help keep it from riding up. For protection… The seat and the knees have a double layer of Cordura® for abrasion and tear resistance. You also get removable KNOX armor for impact protection in the knees along with some comfortable foam hip padding. It also occurs to us that these pants would make great ski pants (especially for a beginner that falls a lot). Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good closeups.
