Sizing Information

The overall fit of this jacket will work for the “average build”, so choose a size based upon what you usually wear in men’s jackets/shirts. Cortech marks the various size jackets with the following chest sizes:

XS 38
Small 40
Medium 42
Large 44
XL 46
XXL 48
XXXL 50
XXXXL 52

These chest sizes seem appropriate, so you can use your suit coat size or chest measurement to double check. You’ll want to check your belly also and make sure that your belly does not exceed 4” less than the chest size above (example, XL/46 will handle a max belly of about 42”).

Our Two Cents

The ADX strikes me as being a lot of jacket for the money. Most 3/4 style jackets are a bit plain and utilitarian in looks, but this one is sporty and sharp. I like the materials used in the shell. They are flexible and durable feeling, but they are not stiff and uncomfortable like some. The addition of accordion material behind the arms and on the sides in the hip area really make a difference in flexibility. The white reflective piping and the rivets look sharp against the black shell and the reflective piping will help with visibility in the dark. The jacket comes with CE rated “turtle shell” type armor in the shoulders and elbows and a foam back pad. Also there is a removable full-sleeve thermal liner for cold weather use. But in the summer there is plenty of venting. Please take the “View Larger Pictures” link above. We’ve taken a number of good photos to show off the venting in the coat and all the other features worth mentioning. Waterproof? The manufacturer claims it is, but I’d bet “water resistant” would be more descriptive. This jacket has too many pockets and vents to be completely waterproof (in my humble opinion), but unless you plan on riding in extended wet weather, I bet the trade-off between some water leakage and having a nice coat with venting and storage features will be a trade-off you’ll be willing to accept. The jacket has a short rear zipper for attachment to other TourMaster and Cortech textile products.
