Alpinestars SP-S Gloves
Sizing Information:
Fit is very similar to other top brand gloves like Olympia, Joe Rocket, Teknic, etc. so choose the size you normally would in m/c gloves. If anything, they run a bit on the snug side, so if you are sometimes between two sizes, then pick the larger of the two in this brand.
These gloves will make a great glove for every-day street bike riding. The knuckles get the same kind of Kevlar armor as AS’s top gloves—very sharp and comfortable to wear. The palm is protected with two layers of leather with Kevlar fabric (hidden between the two). And the tops of the fingers have double leather overlays. But even with those protection features the gloves are lightweight. And many street use riders enjoy the short cuff design rather than the gauntlet style. Although these gloves doesn’t have built in vents or perfs (except on the underside of the fingers), I think they would be pretty comfortable in pretty hot weather and they would certainly be the right choice for moderate temps.

The Large SP-S gloves were a snug fit initially, very similar to a size 9 military flight glove for me and I typically fit Large gloves well. They have broken in and loosened up a bit and fit well after a few hundred local miles over a couple weeks. A good choice for a sporty short glove. (Read more...)
