Sizing Information
You’d want to buy a jacket in the size you’d normally buy men’s clothes (like your tee shirt/jacket size). The jackets and pants are made slightly taller and larger than standard with the idea you’d be able to wear them over a jacket and pants without having to choose a larger-than-normal size.
Our Two Cents
The AX-1 is a PVC rainsuit (most economical construction/material), but it has just a few more features than a basic suit. For safety, the colored suits stand out and they have some very large reflective strips on the back. The construction of the suit includes some vents built into the rear shoulder blade area of the jacket. These vents would shed water from above, but allow air to exit the jacket. So during an intermittent shower you could open the front zipper and admit some airflow in warmer weather (these suits get hot you know :). Another comfort feature is a comfortable corduroy lined collar. The pants have a nice suspender arrangement to hold them up high on your waist (to keep water out), and they have a nice large zipper at the bottom of the leg to allow you to put them on over boots. The elastic waist gives a lot, so fit should be easy.
