Our Two Cents
Last year the Icon Squad Backpack was a best seller for Icon, for 2009 they have released the Squad II Backpack in Black/Silver, Mil Spec Orange and Hi-Viz Yellow, the Orange colorway meets U.S. Military Regulations. This backpack has tons of features, here they are. A chest closure system that provides the most secure fit you can get in a backpack, substantial padding on the back panel, padded laptop storage, full face helmet storage (both of which are separate from the main compartment), integrated tool pouch, jacket carrying system, I.D. card holders on the shoulder straps and several smaller pockets. I’m sure by now you are wondering about those strange looking arm straps. At first I thought they must serve a purpose while riding but I was more comfortable without them, making them removable was a good decision on Icon’s part. The integrated tool pouch is a good idea but you can’t put many things in there, and the chest closure system that gives you that snug secure fit and feels great at high speeds will be a problem for big chested riders. go to the “View Larger Pictures” link to see photos of these features.
