The new CL-85 Nelson Rigg tail bag features the Triple Threat Mounting system. They have gotten away from the traditional “bungee” or “shock cord” style mounting system and now use adjustable length webbing straps with strong Nylon hooks that can pivot. This new mounting system along with the multi directional mounting points on the bag provide endless possibilities for positioning the mounting straps at different angles allowing it to work with more makes/models of motorcycles than any other brand of luggage on the market. For riders that want to get away from any kind of mounting system with hooks, we have seen the suction cup mounting kit (SUC-MT-50) be secured to the side or underneath the rear faring. This tail bag has a fully expandable main compartment. When expanded, we were able to fit our multi day package inside and a leather jacket with elbow, shoulder and back armor as well! A full face helmet also fits with ease (main compartment expanded) and there’s plenty of room to spare.
