Alpinestars Stunt 2 Leather Jacket
Sizing Information:
The jackets are offered in European sizes, so you’ll need to select the size using Alpinestars sizing chart using your chest and waist measurements. And for those who may have a bit of a belly, we encourage you to consider our estimated max belly sizes listed below. Choose a jacket size that will accommodate both your chest and your belly. Note: Those with big arms should stay away from this style. The arms are pretty tight through the elbow/biceps area.

For those that really like the styling or colors offered on this jacket, I say go for it-they are unique and sharp. The protection features are definitely in place on this jacket-the leather is thick and the armor is sturdy, you can zip to pants and you can even buy the optional CE approved back armor (see below). As far as buying this one for excellent comfort and climate control, I’d have to say “keep looking”. The jacket has very small perforated leather panels in front by the sleeves but otherwise is completely solid leather, so consider this jacket to be comfortable only in colder to mild weather. It does offer a removable thermal vest-type liner to help with comfort in colder weather. The leather used is very thick (which is a good thing), but the sleeves are solid leather (instead of a combination of leather and stretch Kevlar as you will find in most sport jackets and suits), and the sleeves are cut pretty thin. I’m no body builder, and I’d be hard pressed to fasten the chin strap of my helmet with this jacket on because the cut of the sleeves prevents me from bending my arms fully. So unless you are average to skinny in the arms, this style won’t suit you. But if you are skinny, this one might be “just the one”. We’ve got some pretty good close-up pictures you can see by taking the “View Larger Pictures” link above. The color jacket we used to do the photos was the “orange/black/white” which drove our camera crazy. The pictures we took make the jacket appear yellow, but the orange used is actually an “optic’ orange like a traffic cone—something our camera apparently can’t deal with.
