Shift Primer Leather Jacket

This jacket is sold in men’s “alpha” sizing. We find this jacket to run true to the manufacturer’s size chart (shown below) which is also consistent with the sizing of other major brands, so you can choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. You can also measure yourself and use the chart to make sure you are choosing a jacket large enough to accommodate both your chest and waist (if your belly is bigger than your waist use the belly measurement).

The Primer is a sharp looking jacket with a simple style that will look good on nearly any style bike. The all black version of this jacket uses a “flat black” finish, but has a contrasting shiny leather strip across the chest and down the arms which gives it a unique look. The zippered sleeve vents and the zippered cuff closures appear to be waterproof zippers, but I think that was to help the zippers blend in with the rest of the jacket (this is in no way a waterproof jacket). This jacket will work well in cool to mild weather. There are two air intake vents on the insides of the arms to get some air-flow for warmer rides. I wouldn’t recommend this jacket for really hot weather though (black leather isn’t the best thing for summer heat). The jacket includes an insulated vest liner for cooler rides. The high quality leather offers good abrasion protection, and the shoulders and elbows come equipped with removable CE approved armor. Also included is a comfortable foam back protector.
