Tour Master Magnum Leather Jacket
Sizing Information:
Sizing on these jackets tends to the small side. Tourmaster publishes a chart (and has chest sizes labeled in each jacket), but it will put you in a jacket that is too small if you follow it (this was the case at the time we published this page anyway). Use the following chart to choose a jacket size. Select a jacket based upon your chest size, and also you’ll want to make sure the jacket is big enough for your belly. Overall cut in terms of height is about average.
| Jacket Size | Max Chest | Max Belly |
| Small | 38 | 34 |
| Medium | 40 | 36 |
| Large | 42 | 38 |
| XL | 44 | 40 |
| XXL | 46 | 42 |
| XXXL | 48 | 44 |
The Magnum jacket takes almost all the good features of the various leather sport jackets on the market and rolls them into one affordable design. It comes complete with a full complement of CE rated armor in the shoulders, elbows and back. You also get a thermal liner that converts from a vest-type liner to a full sleeve liner. Neat idea! This arrangement will provide insulation, and along with the solid leather construction, you’ll have a jacket that will be great for cold weather. And when things warm up, you can remove the thermal liner, and open the two zippered bicep vents on the front and the two large rear vents on the back. The zippered pockets on the jacket use a mesh liner, so they double as zippered vents too (as long as you secure the contents of your pockets :). So that is a whopping six vents on the front and two large vents on the back, which is more than any other leather jacket of this type. A few other nice features: plenty of pockets, each zipper pull on the jacket body has a handy plastic zipper pull extension and there is extensive use of reflective materials for night time visibility. This jacket also has a full circumference zipper for attachment to compatible TourMaster or Cortech pants. Since the pants are constructed with armor and Velcro for pucks, you’ll have a track ready suit—an ideal arrangement for the street rider who needs a full suit for occasional amateur track use. Read my sizing info above carefully before buying this jacket. The armor system includes memory foam padding in the shoulders which is quite substantial itself, and then there is an additional removable CE armor piece in the shoulder as well. With all the armor and vest installed, the jackets are a very snug fit. You can use the chart above to choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. You’ll probably see that the jacket size required is about one size bigger than you may have required in the past.
