Sizing Information

We find the fit of this jacket to be consistent with other “alpha” sized jackets, so choose a size based upon what you normally wear in men’s clothing/jackets. You can consult sizing information from FirstGear for more sizing information. Talls are available in this jacket too. Please consult the drop down menu above for size choices.

Our Two Cents

The Mesh Tex 3.0 jacket is slightly re-styled (as compared to the Mesh-Tex 2 version) and now comes with CE rated “Evolution” type armor in the shoulders and elbows. This armor is a semi-rigid “turtle shell” type armor that is very substantial. The outer shell of this jacket is a full mesh design which allows the air to blow right through the jacket. A nice feature of this jacket (and most other mesh jackets) is the removable waterproof/windproof liner. This liner is super handy for cool mornings or rides that pass through temperature extremes throughout a day (such as mountain passes). You can put the liner under the jacket and be comfortable in cooler weather. It’s also handy to shed water in case of a shower. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good close-up pictures of this jacket’s many features.
