Sizing Information:

This jacket is sold in men’s “alpha” sizing. We find this jacket to run true to the manufacturer’s size chart (shown below) which is also consistent with the sizing of other major brands, so you can choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. You can also measure yourself and use the chart to make sure you are choosing a jacket large enough to accommodate both your chest and waist (if your belly is bigger than your waist use the belly measurement).

The Air Avenger is designed for hot weather use, but the shell is a combination of mesh material (the colored panels) and a semi-mesh fabric. I say semi-mesh because it’s thicker and more substantial than regular mesh, but still has a loose enough weave to allow some air flow. So overall, this jacket will appeal to sport riders wanting air flow, but with a bit more protection than most full-mesh jackets. The styling of this jacket reminds us of an off-road jersey (which makes sense since Shift is made by Fox who is a leader in off road apparel). The jacket comes with a very nice full sleeve liner to block the wind on cooler days. The liner is thick and high quality and I think it would do a good job. The jacket also comes with removable CE approved armor that provides excellent protection in the event of a crash. For fit adjustments there are Velcro-close straps at the wrists and waist. Padding has been added to the back and sleeves, providing protection and adding to the style of the jacket. The black and green Shift Avenger jacket comes with a removable liner, and looks very stylish. The bright green matches well with the Kawasaki Green color (its a bit on the brighter green side). Its also bright enough to give you a bit more attention while on the road. (Read more...)
