We found this style jacket to fit a bit more snug through the body than the Alpinestars information suggests. We estimate they run small by about one size. So you will want to choose a size bigger than “normal”. If you need help choosing your “normal” size, then have a look at Alpinestars’ Sizing Chart.
The Moto GP Assen textile jacket is a lightweight and comfortable sport cut jacket that should work well in colder to mild temperatures. The jacket doesn’t have any zippered vents for warmer weather so it will not be a good choice for hot weather use. For cooler weather though, the removable full sleeve thermal liner can be installed to keep you comfortable in the cold. For crash protection the shoulders and elbows come equipped with removable CE approved armor. There is also foam padding in the back and chest that can be upgraded to the optional CE approved back protector and Bionic chest protectors (see links below).
