FirstGear Denali Textile Jacket
Sizing Information:
You can consult sizing information from FirstGear to choose a size based upon your height and weight and also considering the sizes you normally wear in men’s clothing. Tall sizes (sorry just a few left at this writing) may be available. Please check the drop down menu to check availability of sizes and colors. Talls offer about 1 1/2” longer sleeves and torso than standard sizes.
The Denali jacket is no longer in production, but it has been a good seller for us over the last couple seasons and its not often we are able to offer a 3/4 textile touring style on closeout, so we jumped at the change to buy all the remaining US inventory of this style. Take advantage of the saving while supplies last. My comments from the 2007 season: The Denali jacket offers much the same features as you’ll find with FirstGear’s famed Kilimanjaro series, but with a bit more style (and possibly a bit more abrasion protection) added by way of the leather overlays on the shoulders and elbows. In addition, this jacket has two large breast pockets instead of the extensive storage system found on the Kilimanjaro. A 3/4 length style like this can provide great coverage from the elements, especially in cold weather. The main zipper of the jacket is “two way” meaning you zip it up normally from the bottom, but you can also raise a second zipper slider from the bottom which will help with comfort when sitting on a bike in the riding position (you’ll know what I’m trying to say when you try it out). There are also two side hip zippers that open a few inches to help in this regard. The jacket has zippered venting for warmer weather and a thermal liner for colder weather. It also has plenty of pocket storage and the pockets feature waterproof zippers too. For all this detail, I’d suggest you take the “View Larger Pictures” link above and look at the many detailed photos we’ve included. For crash protection, you get a full set of CE approved armor. The armor is a “turtle shell” molded rubber type armor. It’s very substantial and should provide good protection in case of a fall. The back armor is a soft flexible “memory foam” type armor. The jacket comes with a short rear zipper for connection to FirstGear textile pants.
