Joe Rocket Atomic Textile Pants
|
Sizing Information:
These pants are sold in alpha sizes and seem to run a little smaller than others (about half a size.) Below we have listed the maximum waist size that each size pant will accommodate. Adjustments on the waist will allow you to reduce the waist by about four inches less than the max measurements below. If you intend to wear these as overpants I would recommend adding about 2 inches to your waist measurement to allow for the extra bulk of the street clothes (based on the chart below.)
| Alpha Pant Size |
Max Measured Waist |
Inseam |
| Small | 31 | 34 |
| Medium | 33 | 34 |
| Large | 35 | 34 |
| XL | 37 | 35 |
| XXL | 40 | 35 |
Yes, I realize the inseams are quite long for each given waist size, but that is the way they are! Obviously they will work best for tall slender people.
The Joe Rocket Atomic pants are a great option for cool to warm weather. They offer a good amount of versatility at an affordable price. The styling is also a plus. The multi-panels give an “adventure” look to them. The solid textile shell of these pants should function to keep you warm in cool to mild temperatures. When the weather starts to heat up there are two large panels on the front of the pants that can be removed to expose a mesh material. When the panels are removed the mesh material should allow a good amount of air to pass through keeping you comfortable on hotter days. These pants also offer better than average crash protection. There is some comfortable removable padding in the hips and the tail bone area as well (something we haven’t seen in other pants). You get CE approved knee protectors too. The knee protectors can be adjusted into two different height positions to provide a more comfortable fit for riders of different heights. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good closeups of these pants and their features.
