You’d want to buy a jacket in the size you’d normally buy men’s clothes (like your tee shirt/jacket size). Use this sizing information from FirstGear for more help. The jackets are made slightly taller and larger than standard with the idea you’d be able to wear them over a jacket and pants without having to choose a larger-than-normal size.
The Sierra jacket is a higher quality rain jacket constructed of Nylon (PVC is the material used in cheaper suits). Nylon feels more like fabric as opposed to the plastic/rubber feel of PVC, so you’ll enjoy wearing this jacket. The jacket is nicely styled and has elastic built into the waist area to help keep the material under control in the wind. There is also an integral elastic cord (adjustable too) built into the bottom hem. The main zipper of this jacket is constructed with an extra flap to help prevent leakage. A hood is included—hidden under the collar. The jacket has large reflective stripes for night time visibility too. The Sierra is very much like the Rainman jacket but without the integral storage pouch, although with more reflective material.
