Sizing Information:
You’d want to buy a jacket in the size you’d normally buy men’s clothes (like your tee shirt/jacket size). The jackets are made slightly taller and larger than standard with the idea you’d be able to wear them over a jacket without having to choose a larger-than-normal size. The chart below gives an estimate of actual measured size. You could choose a jacket size by measuring your chest with your gear on.
| Size | Chest |
| Small | 43 |
| Medium | 46 |
| Large | 50 |
| XL | 54 |
| XXL | 58 |
| XXXL | 62 |
| XXXXL | 66 |
The Splash jacket matches the Splash Pants (see link below) to form a good 2 piece rain suit. This is a simple nylon rain jacket that seems to be well constructed. I like the material used. It’s not overly-plastic feeling and it doesn’t make too many swishy noises when you are moving around. The jacket has three pockets for storage including a waterproof chest pocket and two hand-warmer pockets. The chest pocket looks like it would work well for storing items that may be damaged by rain, but the hand-warmer pockets use a Velcro closure that I wouldn’t trust to keep all of the water out. There is an elastic strap at the waist of this jacket and a draw cord at the base of the jacket that can be tightened for further protection from the elements. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good closeups of this jacket and its features.
