Sizing Information
The jackets are sold in Alpha sizes, and we found them to run true to size. We recommend you select a size based on your normal jacket or shirt size. The stretchable material and the adjustment features make getting a good fit fairly easy.
Our Two Cents
The S-MX Bionic 2 Protection Jacket has the best armor coverage that Alpinestars offers and it’s assembled on a stretch mesh framework. The jacket consists of CE approved shoulder and elbow protection, a CE approved back protector that includes kidney padding. The front of this protection jacket has a one piece chest protector that seems very substantial (reminds me of an off-road chest protector). All of the armor is mounted on a stretchable mesh shell that helps keep the armor securely in place. Adjustment straps on the top of the chest protector and in the arms help you customize the fit.
