These vests could be worn over a riding jacket or they could be used over a tee shirt. They are highly adjustable and fit shouldn’t be a problem, but you will need to make a choice between the two sizes offered. Generally speaking, you would choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing, but if you might be between the sizes, take a measurement over whatever clothing you might be wearing under this vest and use the table below to choose:

Our Two Cents
Safety equipment such as this doesn’t usually go on sale, but Fieldsheer is changing distribution and we secured these vests at a closeout price, so take advantage while the savings last. My comments from ‘09: The Fieldsheer On Base Vest is for those that are either required to wear a visibility vest (such as those riding on military bases), or for those that just want to be more visible on the street. I like the design of the vest. The ID holder is kind of neat. Rather than being a holder, it’s more or less a clear plastic piece with a rubber frame around it with Velcro, so you just seal your ID beneath it. There is also a nifty small multi-purpose pocket on the front. In the back there is a storage pouch that also doubles as storage for the whole vest. I love the gloves. They keep my hands so much warmer than my other gloves. The vest doesn't look the best, but it gets me on base so it works.... great price.
