Our Two Cents
Held’s Pole Position glove is a great sport/street or racing glove option in a more reasonable price range. Like other top-end Held racing gloves, you get the kangaroo leather palms, which are highly regarded by racers for the best “feel” for the controls and the leather is more resistant to sweat than cowhide gloves. You also get other protective features required for racing such as a Velcro close strap at the wrist, palm and side of hand protectors, a molded knuckle guard and very nice armored gauntlet. The materials used for the hand protectors and side of hand protectors are synthetic abrasion resistant fabric and molded plastic rather than exotic materials such as stingray found on gloves costing much more. My opinion is that even an “entry level” glove from Held is better than most other brands’ “best”. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good close up shots of this product.
