Our Two Cents
The Intercooled jacket is a full mesh and leather short waist jacket, primarily for warm weather riding. The cut and functionality of the jacket is very much like a sport bike jacket, but there are a few styling things meant to appeal to a street or cruiser rider (all-black/grey styling, chrome waist adjusters, etc). The main body is mostly mesh and there are leather overlays on the elbows and shoulders. The leather used is perforated, so it shouldn’t cut down on the jacket’s breathability (as compared to a mesh only jacket I mean). To help extend the jacket’s comfort range, you get a Dry Tech Liner as standard (Powertrip and Joe Rocket share many design features with Joe Rocket gear). The liner works great on cool mornings to take the chill off and can be easily removed and stored when it warms up. The armor in the shoulders and elbows of this jacket is a CE approved “turtle shell” molded rubber type. The back protector supplied is dual density. An upgraded CE approved back protector is available (see below). This jacket also has a couple unique and novel features: an MP3 player pocket with a grommet to pass your head phone cord through near the neck. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see the location of this pocket.

LOVE THIS JACKET!!! I own a bunch of jackets from BMW Leathers, a Barbour International, a couple of Belstaffs worth more than my house but this is by far my most comfortable jacket. Crazy hot here in NC and I am actually chilly riding here in the mornings at speed. (Read more...)

I bought this jacket and am not a fan of it at all. I wanted it for warmer weather riding. I already have a mesh jacket but did not like the narrow back armor. (Read more...)
