Sizing Information
Choose the size you’d normally buy in men’s clothing. The manufacturer provides measurements for chest and sleeve length so you can use the chart below to select a size based upon your measurements. We find the chart is a pretty good representation of actual fit. We have added a “Max Belly” measurement so those of you who have a larger belly/waist can make sure the jacket you choose will be large enough.
| Size | Max Chest | Sleeve Length | Max Belly |
| XS | 34-36 | 31 | 34 |
| Small | 36-38 | 32 | 34 |
| Medium | 38-40 | 33 | 36 |
| Large | 42-44 | 34 | 40 |
| XL | 44-46 | 35 | 42 |
| XXL | 46-48 | 36 | 44 |
| XXXL | 48-50 | 37 | 46 |
Our Two Cents
The Automag Hero jacket is a heavy duty leather sport jacket. The jacket offers all of the standard protection and comfort features you’d expect to find in a high quality jacket and has some unique features as well. The top of the shoulders have large accordion stretch panels. This gives great freedom of movement and they also have a sharp look. This jacket should work well in cool to warm weather. The sides of the torso and arms are perforated to provide some airflow on warmer rides. In the back of the jacket there are overlapping padded leather pieces that remind me of an armadillo’s back (best way this Texas man can think to describe it). When you lean out over your handle bars the overlapping flaps expose a mesh material making an exhaust vent for heat to escape (take the “View Larger Pictures” link for a closeup of this area). I don’t know how truly effective this will be for cooling, but it is a neat idea and it ads a little extra style to the jacket. On cooler days the jacket comes with a full sleeve insulated liner that can be quickly installed. For crash protection the jacket comes with removable CE approved shoulder and elbow armor along with a removable backpad. For added comfort there are large zippered gussets on the sides of the jacket that can be opened to help avoid bunching while on the bike (or to make way for a bit of a belly). The jacket has a rear connection zipper for attachment to compatible Icon pants. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good closeups of this jacket and its features.
