Our Two Cents
The Scorpion Deuce mesh overpants are a really good looking pair of pants that should work great for cool to warm weather riding. The pants have a good fit to them and don’t seem as bulky as many riding pants do. The material used in these pants is an abrasion-resistant mesh which will allow a great deal of air to pass through. There is also a water/windproof liner that can be installed for showers or cool mornings. Full-length zippers on the legs make them easy to get in and out of over clothing (unfortunately this is not the case with the liner, so you lose a little convenience with the liner installed). The knees and hips are equipped with removable CE approved armor. And the knee pocket design allows you to position the armor in a higher or lower spot to better fit your leg length. The pants feature two large hand pockets as well as rear pockets for a good amount of storage. The waist of the pants also comes with some side adjustment, so if you buy the pants large enough to go over jeans you can use the side adjustments to tighten the waist when not wearing jeans underneath (the adjustment can only make the pants smaller than the chart above shows, but not bigger). Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good close-up pictures of these pants and their features.

Pants fit great! They have a lot of air flow in the thigh and calf areas. They were a little stiff at first, but after my ride, they were fine. (Read more...)

I highly recommend the Duece Mesh Overpants to anyone looking for some good overpants. I recently managed to plow into a guardrail(35mph) while wearing these and they did a good job protecting me from the pavement upon impact, and a little sliding. The pants were slightly damaged on the left knee padding(seam came apart) and left bottom velcro strap area(partially shredded from sliding), however it fully protected my pants and legs underneath so I cannot complain.
