Sizing Information
The Axiom Denim pants are sold by waist sizes. We found them to be on the snug side (about an inch small in the waist), so if you want a relaxed fit or are between sizes, choose one size larger than you normally wear. Inseams were 34 inches across the board which may be a bit long for some people, but keep in mind the riding position (knees bent) requires a longer pant leg than normal. A tailor could hem them shorter for you if necessary.
Our Two Cents
The Axiom denim pants from Alpinestars are a nice looking pair of riding jeans with a very high quality finish and some nice protective features. The knees and seat of these jeans are reinforced with Kevlar, and the denim used is supposed to be extra resistant to abrasion and tears. The knees are pre-curved for comfort in the riding position and there are pockets for optional knee armor as well. We checked the Joe Rocket CE approved knee armor shown below and found it to be a good fit (and we would definitely recommend this upgrade for some extra protection). There are also lower leg zippers which makes getting the pants on and off nice and easy, and also helps get the cuffs over the tops of your riding boots.
