Sizing Information

This jacket is sold in alpha sizes so most people can choose the size they normally wear in men’s clothing. You can also go here for a conversion chart to see chest size conversions for each alpha size. If you measure yourself, we recommend you measure your chest AND belly to make sure you are selecting a jacket big enough to accommodate both. The belly size in this jacket will be about 6” less than the chest size. For example, an XL jacket will accommodate a 46” chest and will have a max belly of about 40”.

Our Two Cents

With its tri-color scheme, the Congo 2.0 is a sharp looking textile jacket for sport street use. It’s also a versatile jacket which can adapt to the varying climates and conditions you might face while riding. It can handle colder temps with its fully sleeved quilted liner, and as things warm up, the liner can be removed, and vents can be opened to get the air flowing (vents are at the shoulders and in the back). There is also an integrated Rainguard® liner built in which Fieldsheer claims is 100% waterproof yet still breathable. The rain barrier will keep air from passing entirely through the jacket’s shell to your skin while riding, so the zippered venting is a bit restricted. Overall, I’d recommend this jacket for cold to warm weather use (but not hot weather use). In the safety department, the 600D Carbolex shell is reinforced in key areas with 1680D ballistic overlay for extra abrasion resistance, and reflective piping and logos are used for good night-time visibility. There is removable C.E. approved armor in the shoulders and elbows, as well as the SP Memory Foam® back pad. The shoulders of this jacket sport some external armor made of plastic and titanium which looks cool and provides a bit of extra impact protection. Fieldsheer says they act as vents, but since they are sewn on top of the shell, it’s sort of a vent to nowhere. But anyway… This jacket should be quite comfortable as it has stretch panels behind the elbows, at the waist, and behind the shoulders which give a lot of freedom of motion. The waist and sleeves are also adjustable so you can get a snug fit and keep all the armor in the right places. Take a look at our custom pictures of this jacket to see all the features in detail.
