Sizing Information

The overall fit of this jacket will work for the “average build”, so choose a size based upon what you usually wear in men’s jackets/shirts. Tourmaster marks the various size jackets with the following chest sizes:

XS 38
Small 40
Medium 42

These chest sizes seem appropriate, so you can use your suit coat size or chest measurement to double check. You’ll want to check your belly also and make sure that your belly does not exceed 4” less than the chest size above (example, Medium/42 will handle a max belly of about 38”).

Our Two Cents

The Cortech GX air jackets were discontinued in ‘05, but our distributor had a load of smaller jackets in stock, so we took them at a great price. These jackets are nice looking, comfortable and functional. The fabric is a mesh material that lets the wind blow through, so consider this jacket for mild to hot weather use. When putting on these jackets, I immediately noticed that the material used in the lining is soft and slippery. It slides on easy over any type clothing and is very comfortable. The cut of the jacket is right for a forward reaching position and the armor is shaped well to fit the body. The jacket comes complete with dual density foam armor in the shoulders, elbows and back. There is a short rear zipper for connection to Tourmaster pants. Many people like a windproof liner to use with a mesh jacket. At one time, Tourmaster sold a liner specifically for this jacket as an option, but it is sold out. We do have the Breeze jacket liner which will work well with this jacket and it’s a very inexpensive upgrade. The zippers don’t allow you to install it in the jacket, but the liner is built such that it can be worn under any jacket. Unlike other liners, this one has some premium insulation included which will make this jacket useful in a wider temperature range. And the liner will pack small in your luggage.
